Sabelo P. Ncube

Mr Sabelo Pride Ncube joined SIRDC in April 2020 as the Director of the Building Technology Institute. His exposure and experience cover over a decade of visionary contemporary sustainable space planning, design and development as well as project management within a range of business environments. He has global appreciation of green finance projects and exposure to conducive space making and science in private-public partnerships, public and private built environment good practice in Southern Africa, North America and Europe. He has knowledge of built environment practice from various universities to manage the scope, cost and time within a project range. His experience covers policy formulation and review, novelty and innovative ideas in problem solving, effective risk-based thinking and risk management, as the next growth pattern in striving for the best possible international industry standards in feasibility studies, planning, design, pre-search and research. He has proven strengths in quality management systems auditing, architectural service design process, facilities and real estate management, master planning in line with smart planning principles as well as understanding the value chains critical for research and development. Mr Ncube offers an invaluable resource, innovation, novelty and an ever evolving dimension to the existing body of knowledge, and further strengthens future expectations of the research at SIRDC. His vision is that of a dynamic research base of excellence, reputation, sustainable, contemporary and relevant physical infrastructure that will attract the highest quality performance in the built environment in Zimbabwe. Mr Ncube holds a Master of Architecture degree and is accredited to the Royal Institute of British Architects. He is also a certified Internal Quality Management Systems Auditor for ISO 9001:2015.
