Established in February 1993 by the Government of Zimbabwe through the Research Act [Chapter 10:22] to carry out strategic Research & Development for the benefit of the manufacturing, service, agricultural as well as to commercialise the Research & Development outputs.



Delegates from South Korea, Kenya, Cameroon, South Africa, and the Netherlands joined the SIRDC and KOPIA Zimbabwe teams in Hwedza to tour our Hatchery and Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Insectary Facility at Chishaka Village, alongside the transformative Pilot Village Site at Wedza Center. This collaborative field visit showcased how Zimbabwe’s science-backed, climate-smart innovations are driving sustainable livestock feed solutions and empowering local communities. 🚀
