The Technology Transfer and Resource Mobilisation Unit (TTRMU) was created in 2024 by SIRDC to work through teams on the following tasks:

Technology transfer through special purpose vehicles (SPVs) or in partnership with interested parties in industry, commerce, academia or any legal entities
Dissemination of SIRDC intellectual property (IP) policy across employees as well as facilitation of IP inventory and capacity building among employees on commercialisation of the Centre’s IP

Facilitate both domestic and international linkages through agreements namely: Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Secrecy and Non-disclosure agreements (S/NDA), Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), Joint Venture Agreements, Contracts, among others
Facilitate Inhouse Capacity building on topical issues such IP, Stage Gate Process, Project Management
Resource mobilisation using developed marketing (from Head of Marketing) and business plans (Administration)
Conduct M&E and impact evaluation on the Centre’s interventions.
Collate trip reports for Cabinet Authorised tours

TT&RMU Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer
Works closely with the SIRDC Executive Directors, ZTS General Manager, Head of Marketing, Public Relations Director, Directors and Managers when facilitating linkages
Operates in Teams with membership drawn, based on suitability, from institutes/departments and strategic business units
The Executive authorises all external engagements
