The Security Department is one of the organisation’s support service organs whose main functions are to:

• Offer protection and reduce loss to the organisation’s property and assets.
• Address security issues affecting SIRDC’s Institutes and Departments.
• Address issues to do with security and safety of employees, customers or visitors to SIRDC premises.
• Provide any services that may be assigned by Management from time to time.

The Department’s motto is “to serve and protect”.
